  • Most the impact fees adopted in 2015 are currently assessed at $100 and total $8,419.

  • The current school impact fee of $5242 is adopted at 50% of assessment.

  • Commissioners recently choose Duncan & Associates to conduct a new impact fee study.

  • Commissioners will take the new study under advisement when considering increases. Only two commissioners on the board now were on the board in 2015.

  • PCBA’s concern is with pressure on school capacity, we could see increase in school impact fees based on the new study results.

  • Based on the results, other impact fees could increase as well.

  • Right now, numbers are simply unknown until the study is released and discussions start.

With an anticipated effective date of January 1, 2020 and the requirement that any fee change must provide for 90-day notice, the public hearings will likely be heard in August and September with adoption of October 1st, 2019.
